Fit was a little tight but the trailer lip is pretty beat up so can't blame the lock. I was able to get it on with a little muscle and it locked right up. Going to buy another for my project manager's trailer too!1737425

Works great! I did need to file the inside just a tiny bit at the top to get it to slide on enough but not a big deal. Very happy! The lip on the tongue flared out just a little as it went back toward the camper.760544

Works very well. Truth is if someone wants your trailer bad enough they can get it but this is a reasonable deterrent.

I like the design of using the flange to secure the lock to my TT. I store my AIRSTREAM at a storage facility near my house and the gates aren't always working (usually open). The ball lock I was using was less than Ideal. Love the ease of use, close fit on the flange, security and over all piece of mind this lock gives me. 803725

a deterrent, maybe a thief will move on to a trailer/camper without a lock.
Having said all that, I do like this lock a lot better than others I've had. It's lightweight and easy to use. We'll see how it holds up.1177376

After a year it still looks new and still working great.

I am quite satisfied with the Blaylock coupler lock. It is well made (I appreciate it having been made in the USA). I have both lipped and flat flange couplers on two different trailers, and I only need to lock one at any given time, so I got the one that fits lipped couplers and it will work on either one; if I wanted to be elegant, I would make a shim for use with the flat-lipped hitch just to take some vertical clearance out of it, but that would be merely putting booties on the cat -- it achieves its purpose as it is, and gives me versatility. I like the axial tolerance built into the locking pin because I'm confident it will not hang up, rust, or stick with age and dirt accumulation.612119

I remain quite satisfied after a year. I would buy another one if I had a use for two.

I've been needing a new lock for my work trailer especially when the old one finally failed.
I am a big user of the Blaylock locks for my trailer doors for the past 3 years. They work wonderful even in the Michigan winters.
When I saw that the other locks of their lines could be keyed alike I jumped on getting more info.
Once I talked to the company they did say the BLTL-34 can be keyed the same to my other locks.
I called up etrailer and spoke to Leeza who checked for me and said yes it can.
My new lock arrived in a few days and out of the box the lock worked perfectly with my original old keys (the new keys worked too).
Now I carry one less key and have two additional spares.
The price was right and the service was wonderful!.

Used on my Wells Cargo 16' enclosed trailer. I touched mine up slightly with a grinder because it was a tight fit and it's on perfectly now without being too tight. Good solid construction.694061

This product is poor, it does not fit on my 2 5/16" tongue without a ton of slop back and forth and side to side. I verified every tongue this fits before purchasing as well. And the worst part is upon trying to return it, realizing i have to pay return shipping for a sloppy product. If these guys are going to compete in online shopping, they need to sort out free returns with couriers and absorb that cost. You will never compete with other major online retailers.1259436

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. This lock is intended for couplers that have a flat or rolled lip. I have an alternate lock to offer that will work for other 2 and five sixteenth couplers. It is part # BLTL-33-40D.

I wanted a hitch lock different than that one I had, Horizontal key instead of Vertical. Blaylock had that. Unfortunately the one that I received had a defective lock. I called etrailer and the next thing you know I had a prepaid shipping label to return the defective lock and a few days another lock arrived and it works just fine. Etrailer is a great company to deal with, outstanding customer service.182661

Coupler lock is not universal in regard to a snug fit. My 2 5/16" hitch is evidently deeper than most because the fit is extremely sloppy. I think the lock is ingenious compared to other styles; however, be aware that to secure the lock as intended by design you may need to add spacers above the lock pin. If the lock remains as a sloppy fit it will be easy to pry off with a crow bar. 161742

I love this lock. An Airstreamer friend of mine purchased one and when I saw it I knew I had to have one. It gives me peace of mind knowing my Airstream is secure....and it doesn't "stick out". Looks like it belongs on the hitch. I'm positive would be theives would see it and just keep moving. Thanks for a great product. 738902

This seems to be a great deterrent for anyone thinking about stealing my trailer. If they had the right tools, I’m guessing this could be defeated, however I haven’t seen any hitch lock that is totally undefeatable. For the price it will serve it purpose and hopefully make any thief think of moving on to an easier steal.175264

This has to be the worst locking mechanism made. Maybe I’m not doing something right but the lock has a pin that goes into the coupler to secured it from removal. The problem is the pin is only about 1/2 inch in diameter. The coupler fits a 2 5/16 ball so as you can imagine there is a lot of play so much so the lock when engaged pretty much falls off by itself. This is why I though I was going something wrong no one would design a lock this faulty. Well I’ll be returning to get a functioning lock. 658751

A little difficult initially to fit on the hitch but now works OK. Light weight and easy to use. Probably wouldn't stand up to a sledge hammer but a good deterrent 800162

This is a nice lock for the price. I think there is a possibility that I could take a hammer and demolish it. It might just keep honest people honest. If you are really worried about getting your trailer stolen I would go ahead and get one of the locks in the $250 range.1212842
