Converting An Inverted Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch To Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

I just redid a 2001 Adam stock trailer thats a goose neck, I just picked up an 89 F250 with a pop up kingpin hitch in it. My question is, can I out the goose neck tube on the trailer for an inverted 5th setup on the trailer? I know you can go from ball to kingpin and vise versa, but can I go from female ball coupler to upside down 5th wheel? Really dont want to take the truck apart to put a different hitch system in. The truck is super clean and all original.

With inverted fifth wheel hitches being pretty much outdated you most likely won't be able to find a new adapter and would need to find one secondhand. The easiest solution would be to weld the Buyers Products 42" x 13-1/2" Gooseneck Hitch Plate with 2-5/16" Ball And Two D-Rings Item # 3373014981 in instead so you can avoid taking the truck apart and placing in a gooseneck hitch.
