Curt Hitch Ball # A-90 Recommendation
Question:
I have a bolt-on pintle/ball hitch with 2-5/16inch ball. I need to replace it with a 2inch ball. The ball mount is 1-9/16inch thick. I am looking for a 2inch ball, 1-1/4inch shank, 10,000 lb rating, with sufficient shank length to fit that hitch. Does the Curt A-90/40090 fit that criteria? The current 2-5/16inch ball has a 3inch shank length. Pic attached. Thank you.

The Curt Hitch Ball # A-90 should work very well for you. It has the right ball diameter, weight capacity, shank diameter and enough shank length to install on your ball mount.
The # A-90 has a shank length of 2-5/8 inches and your ball mount platform has a thickness of 1-9/16 inches which gives you a little more than an inch for the nut to secure to, which would be plenty.
I measured the height of the nut that comes with the # A-90 and found that it is 1 inch thick and the washer is a 1/4 inch thick.
