Draw-Tite VS Curt Class III Receiver

Question:

I have a 1997 Lexus LX450 with the Draw-Tite Class III receiver installed. It has been there for quite a while and is has rusted so I thought it was time to replace it. I would like some information on Draw-Tite vs Curt for the class III receiver. Currently the receiver is primarily used for carrying a load and for tow straps / recovery straps in a 4x4 recovery setting. May be used for actual trailer towing but not very often. My second question, if I do switch over to the Curt receiver, would it utilize the same holes that the Draw-Tite is currently using for installation? Thanks.

I will answer your second question first. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2", part # C13089 and the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2", part # 41015, will utilize the same holes for installation. Both of these hitch receivers are rated has Class III. The specs are the same for the maximum tongue weight and maximum tow weight. They have the same maximum tow and maximum tongue weight, except when used with weight distribution. If using weight distribution, you should use the Draw-Tite hitch receiver since it is rated to carry slightly more in those instances. .

i have included product description links below.
