Minus the packaging, the Demco # DM62VR Hydraulic Brake Actuating Coupler weighs about 18 lbs. The coupler is compatible with trailers weighing up to 7000 lbs with disc brakes. The coupler fits a 2 inch trailer ball, and is equipped with an electric lockout solenoid that will prevent the brakes from engaging when the tow vehicle is shifted into reverse, assuming that the coupler is installed correctly and the center pin of the 7-way on the tow vehicle is tied into the reverse lamp circuit.
