What is the Difference Between Curt Gooseneck Ball and Safety Chain Mounts for Ram Trucks
Question:
I see that the gooseneck hook C94ZR is rated for 38K. I do not see a rating for C60617. Looks like they both fit my 2018 Ram 2500. What is the difference between these two items?

The difference between the Curt # C94ZR and the Curt # C60617 is the material that the two anchors are constructed from; while they will both fit in the rear pucks on your 2018 Ram 2500, the 2021 and newer Ram HD trucks have upwards of 36,000-lbs towing capacity so the higher capacity safety chain hooks are required. Because Ram puck systems have different sized holes for the front and back these can only be used in the rear pucks; there is not an available set for the front on the market to my knowledge.
To answer your question on the rating of the # C60617 would max out at 30,000-lbs.
