Are the jaws automatic or do they need tightening, I have clicking sound at start and stop motion

The jaws of the B and W Replacement Head part # BWRVC3006 are not adjustable and they do not require tightening. It's a little annoying but most hitches have a little bit of movement which makes that clicking sound you mentioned.

Yes, you can take the head that's on your current Companion hitch and swap it onto the base part #BWRVB3715 and you'll have a complete Companion hitch that fits your 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 OEM rail kit.

B and W does make a Companion hitch that fits the OEM rail kit of your 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500 with the part #BWRVK3715 which has a 25k capacity. For just the base of this we have the part #BWRVB3715 as well.
