Your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trail Boss will not require any suspension helper springs when you are towing with a weight distribution hitch. The weight distribution hitch will provide the ride leveling when correctly installed.

For your Trail boss you will want to measure your receiver height and compare that with the trailer coupler height when your trailer is level. As your Trail Boss comes with a factory installed lift you will want to make sure that the drop shank with the weight distribution hitch is correct.

The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET is the system that I recommend using. With this it includes a drop shank that will lower the ball up to 3" from your receiver. It is rated for a trailer with a tongue weight of 600-1,000lbs and total weight below 10,000lbs.

For a larger drop you will need the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution # EQ37101ET that does not include a shank.

The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4300 will give you a 6" to 2-1/4" drop in 1-1/4" increments.

The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4400 will give you a 9" to 5-1/4" drop in 1-1/4" increments.

The Equal-i-zer weight distribution system includes sway control built in and it will not need to be removed to maneuver your trailer when parking. A 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 is required to install the 2-5/16" hitch ball that is included with either hitch system.

I recommend using the Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150 to both reduce hitch noise as well as extend the life to the moving parts.
