Recommended 1000/10000lb Weight Distribution Hitch With The Best Sway Control

Question:

Needing help in determining what is the best sway control hitch is best for my vehicle. I’m currently experiencing some sway with my current hitch and I think it’s due to my autoride suspension. Tried adjusting the bars but still experiencing sway. Is there a hitch system out there that works best for subject vehicle in reducing sway? I have attached pics of my current system that was set up for my 2002 Ford F-150. I later purchased the 2019 Yukon XL Denali that I’ve tried to switch to with current system. Experiencing too much sway with autoride suspension. Any advice would help. Thanks in advance.

I would be happy to help!

First did you readjust the system for your new 2019 GMC Yukon XL with the autoride suspension? If not what you will want to do is hitch the trailer to the vehicle and allow the autoride suspension to adjust before installing the spring bars. Once that is done go ahead and adjust the spring bars to the correct tension following the instruction manual of your Recurve hitch.

If you find you still have too much sway I recommend replacing the system with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET as it has the same 1000lb spring bars as your current system, but the 4-point sway control does a fantastic job of keeping your trailer from swaying while driving.

I included a video of the # EQ37100ET for you to take a look at.
