Can I use my 4 pin plug for my Shasta trailer running lights, and my 7 pin for the trailer brakes only?

I'm not certain why you'd want to wire your trailer that way, but the 4 pole and the 7-way connectors on the Curt # C55774 can indeed be used at the same time.
