Can 2020 Ram 2500 with Ram Boxes Tow Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer

I own a 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon with Ram boxes on the 6ft bed. I am interested in seeing what options I have to install both a gooseneck hitch and 5th wheel hitch. I have the bed off at the moment due to an accident and know it would be best time for this type of installation as my truck did not come equipped with anything for either of these hitches.

The Ram Boxes make installing a fifth wheel hitch in the bed of your 2020 Ram 2500 difficult as they are much narrower than standard bed rails and therefore would get in the way around making tight turns. The only solution for this scenario is a Sidewinder pin box which moves the pivot point up higher.

You'd need a custom fifth wheel rail kit like the part # RP50054-58 with a fixed hitch like the part # RP30047 since you'd be using the Sidewinder.

Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.

There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.

Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.

Then to tow a gooseneck hitch you'd have to use a fifth wheel rail gooseneck adapter part # 16055.
