How Does Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler # CG Attach to Outer Tube

Question:

I am going to install the Multi Cushioned in a 35 ft. Goose neck RV trailer. It only has one set screw in the outer pipe. I think it is to eliminate any slack between the inner and outer pipes. I am not sure if this is enough to keep the inner tube secure as far as up and down in the outer pipe. The one set screw is not very big. I have always relied on the big pin that goes through the inner and outer pipes in the provided holes that are there. You inner cushioned pipe has not pre drilled holes. Is the inner tube going to be safe with only one set screw? You reply will be appreciated. I have ordered the cushioned hitch and it should be here tomorrow. Thanks in Advance

The Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler # CG is designed to normally be used with a set screw that pressed onto the inner tube basically. If you wanted to drill a hole that is properly sized for your current set screw that passes through it you certainly could.
