How Far Can The Convert-A-Ball CG Gooseneck Coupler Be Extended From The Outer Tube?

When installing the coupler, how far can it be extended below the outer tube given? Or is it a set distance below the lower set screw?

I've actually talked to Convert-A-Ball about their # CG gooseneck coupler before and there isn't really a maximum setting they can speak of. This is due to the amount of the inner tube that needs to be inside the outer tube being specified by the trailer manufacturer. This does vary depending on the manufacturer, so you will need to contact them for this. However, I have seen people extend this out to 12" without any issue at all. This is a pretty extreme example, though, and the vast majority of applications will not need to go this far, but the 22" tube height does allow for a lot of variation.
