Are there Bouncing Issues with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame on a 2014 Honda Odyssey

Question:

Hi, I wanted to purchase this hitch for my 2014 Honda Odyssey. Some folks on Odyssey online forums have complained about noticing their bike racks bouncing due to the flex in the angle plate which s down from the crossbar and where the female receiver is welded to With the angle plate having no visible additional reinforcement, I can certainly image that to be a possibility with vertical force. Has etrailer received any complaints regarding this hitch about it?

We have not had the complaints that you mentioned for the Draw-Tite Max-Frame, part # 76025. Most of the reviews from our neighbors stated that it's a very sturdy hitch even a year later.

Several people have used this for bike racks with great success.

There may be something with the bike racks themselves for those in the forums. One thing you can do is use the Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap for Hitch-Mounted Accessories, part # 18050. This strap significantly reduces the up-and-down play for bike racks. I've linked to a video review of this below.
