You are correct that your 2015 Chevrolet Sonic with the automatic transmission can be flat towed as long as it is not an RS model.

You can install a battery charge line # RM-156-25 and # RM-156-75 if you like but they are not needed as pulling the DLIS fuse from the passenger fuse panel will eliminate any draw on the battery.

Since your vehicle is an automatic you will flat tow it in neutral with the key turned to the ACC/On position and you will need to run the each morning and at each fuel stop for roughly 5 minutes to properly lubricate the transmission.

To flat tow your vehicle you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, tow bar wiring, safety cables, and a supplemental braking system. If you do not already have these components my recommendations are as follows:

Base plate kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523173-5

Tow bar: Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520

Tow bar wiring and safety cables: RoadMaster Falcon 2 and Falcon All-Terrain Combo Towing Kit # RM-9243-1

Supplemental braking system: Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR W/ 12v outlet kit # RM-9332

Lastly you may need a high-low adapter to level the tow bar to your tow vehicle so I included a link to a helpful article on how to measure for the correct adapter and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.

I recommend reading the recreational towing section of your owner's manual as it goes over all of the steps required to safely flat tow your vehicle.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
