Correct Wiring Harness For 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
Question:
Hello! I ordered the Curt 56412 Custom Wiring Connector that has Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2018-2020 on the packaging. I cannot get it to work properly. Is this because its the wrong harness for my vehicle? Is the C77KR a different product? The pictures make them look identical, so I am confused. I am awaiting a response from the people who sold me the Curt 56412 before I order the C77KR but I am wondering if perhaps I ordered the wrong harness? Or maybe the harness I ordered was bad? I know I plugged it in a grounded it and powered it properly, and when hooked up to the trailer, a the right brake light illuminates with or without brake pressure, and nothing will illuminate the other light or cause the right brake light to blink or dim to driving light brightness. Sincerely, A Very Confused PHEV Owner

The Curt 56412 is indeed the same as the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C77KR, and does fit your 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. It is is the correct harness if you have the factory tow package, otherwise you will need a splice-in harness:
- Factory Tow Package: Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C77KR
- No Factory Tow Package: Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter # C59496
Often, when there is an issue where one light is not functioning, the issue can nearly always be traced back to a bad ground. So you'll want to make sure your grounds are attached to bare metal surfaces and free of any paint, dirt or corrosion.
