I purchased one of these and noticed the instructions which came with it said to connect negative cables to posts 1, 2, and common. I did not think this sounded correct and called Wirthco customer service. The engineer I spoke with told me that the instruction card was printed wrong and that it should say positive cables to posts. Luckily I did not follow written instructions. Just wanted to make you aware.

The Dual Battery Isolator Switch #3376391050 that you referenced would work well for you as it can turn off two batteries easily by rotating the switch and is rated for up to 1,000 amps surge.
