Trailer Side Marker/Turn Signal Light Wiring Troubleshooting

I’m trying to add on side markers/turn signals on my trailer when I wired them up they worked fine until I press on the break and they light up as well I read that this part #118158 helps me split the break lights whit the turn signal but my truck has led head lights will this work?

The Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter Item # 118158 is what you need because it sounds like your trailer has separate wiring and your vehicle has combined wiring.
