Installing Locks Onto Thule Rapid Crossroad Foot Pack For Thule Roof Rack

My daughter has a 2013 Volvo XC70 with square crossbars made by Thule. They have a place to add locks, which we bought and disappeared into the closet somewhere. And there is some sort of clamp under the outer bars that attach them to the factory outer bars. so: 1) can I also buy the locks that lock these bars though I never did figure out how the locks relate to those seemingly soft rubbery straps. 2) can I attach the Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box - 22 cu ft - Black AeroSkin to these square crossbars?

Your 2013 Volvo XC70 has the Thule square bars which use Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401. There is a pre-cut hole with a circular cover, you will need to remove the cover which will allow you to install lock cores # TH450400. I attached a demonstration video which shows how to install the lock cores.
The Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box - 22 cu ft - Black AeroSkin # TH6359B will fit onto the Thule square bars without an issue. This box is 35-1/2" wide so keep in mind you may not have room for other large accessories while this is on the crossbars. I attached a demonstration video for this cargo box.
