Will Installing Curt C73DR Hitch Prevent Hands-Free Liftgate on 2021 Lexus RX350 From Working
Question:
Hello, Im looking at the CurtClass III hitch, part # C73DR for my 2021 Lexus RX350. From other QandA responses it looks like a confirmed fit. Im wondering if you know if the rear door kick sensor will still work with the hitch installed. Its not a deal breaker if not, but would obviously prefer it did. Thanks.

We haven't received any feedback stating that installing the Curt # C73DR hitch has prevented the hands-free liftgate feature on the Lexus RX350 from working.
What usually happens is that the receiver tube of the hitch blocks the sensors from reading input right at the center of the vehicle, but typically if you wave your foot several inches to either side of the receiver tube, the sensors should work just fine.
