Is a Brake Controller Needed for a 2019 Toyota Highlander

Yourcguy, Conner, recommended I add this: Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160, but isxthis needed for a light camper?

It would be a good idea to use a brake controller while towing with a 2019 Toyota Highlander especially if the trailer is setup for them. That said, it may or may not be required. There are certain laws and regulations for this which vary by state. I cannot comment on this but most state agencies would be glad to inform. There are also requirements from the vehicle manufacturer on this. This is best outlined on page 222 of the manual.
The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 is indeed what I recommend using if the trailer has brakes or brakes are required.
