Troubleshooting ZCI Vehicle Wiring Harness 119250KIT Having Inconsistent Right Turn Signal Flashing
Question:
I have wired the ZCI 119250KIT to my 2014 Audi allroad and have encountered a slight issue. After the install and programing great videos from your team All of the functions for the brake and taillights, work perfectly with the exception of the right turn signal. There seems to be an inconsistent delay in the flash when the right turn signal is activated, instead of a rhythmic flash. There is no issue with the left turn signal. Ive triple checked the connections, checked the ground. Could there be an issue with the unit itself or am I overlooking something? Thanks

I reached out to my contact at Tekonsha and there are a few things that could be causing the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT you installed on your 2014 Audi AllRoad to have an issue with the right turn signal flashing correctly.
On your vehicle there is a few different wires that have a signal when the turn signal is applied, but some of them use a different pulse width that is hard for the module to read correctly. I would see if there is another right turn signal wire that has power that you can move the sensor to, as that will likely fix the issue.
The other thing is to move the sensor from the right side to the left, and the apply the hazards on your vehicle to see if it is reading correctly. If this fixes the issue on the trailer, then finding the a different wire on the right turn signal of your vehicle will correct the issue.
If this does not fix the flashing issue, it is possible that there is an issue within the Module and will need to be replaced.
I included a video of the # 119250KIT for you to take a look at.
