Spindle Compatible With Trailer Idler Hub Assembly AKIHUB-440-2-1K

Question:

Do you have a bearing/race and seal kit that would fit this hub? The reason I wanted to replace the hub is because one of the lug bolts has stripped threads and the bearings are not so good anymore. I will fix the lug bolt problem if you have a bearing/race and seal kit that would fit this hub.

The Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 4 on 4 - L44643 Bearings - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-440-2-1K won't fit your trailer spindle as it will be too long. The reason is, this hub is designed to work on BT8 spindles, which are longer than what you have.

The only solution we can offer is to replace your short and older spindles with a new one that will work with the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-440-2-1K, which is the BT8 Spindle for 2,000 lb Trailer Axles # TRU59FR.

I have added a link below to a video review as well if you'd like to take a look.

We do have a bearing kit which may work, though that will depend on your grease seal measurements; but the bearing kit that works with both the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly # CE13100 and Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-440-2-1K is the following: - Bearing Kit for 1" BT8 Spindle, L44643 Inner/Outer Bearings, 34823 Seal # BK1-100 This kit uses the L44643 bearings which do have a 1 inch inner diameter like the 07100 bearings, but you need to either measure your current grease seal or your spindle where the grease seal rides to determine the fit. The grease seal in this kit has a 1.249" inch inner diameter and 1.983 inch outer diameter. Also, if you need grease, the best option is the LubriMatic Marine Trailer Wheel Bearing Grease # L54FR with the Bearing Packer # PTW1218.
