Does a Slipper Spring Suspension Use a Bushing on the Slipper End
Question:
I have a tandem axle boat trailer with the open eye leaf springs is there a bushing that goes into the open eye side of the spring? Thanks

There is not a bushing on the hangers used on slipper spring trailers. Smaller single axle trailers will have a bolt that runs through the hanger, while some larger and tandem axle trailers will have a welded tube that the spring sits on, but there's no need to use a bushing.
If you need to replace your hangers you can use something like the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2" Slipper Springs - 13-1/8" Long Equalizers # AP216-H238 for a tandem axle trailer or the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 1-3/4" Slipper Springs - 1-1/2" Tall Front # APS3SE for a single axle.
The best way to choose a replacement hanger kit is by measuring the existing hangers first and matching the lengths of the current parts so that you don't change the height or suspension geometry.
