Recommended Tow Bar Wiring For 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Being Flat Towed by Forest River Sunseeker

Question:

I just purchase a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek to tow behind my Forest River Sunseeker MBS Class C motorhome. Im planning on purchasing the Roadmaster 52927-5 baseplate, Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain tow bar and Stay-IN-Play DUO SM99251. Im uncertain which brake light kit to purchase and would like a recommendation. Thanks.

It sounds like you have a great plan so far on what you will need to flat tow your 2019 Subaru Crosstrek with your Forest River Sunseeker Class C Motorhome.

For tow bar wiring I recommend using the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will add a 6-way connector to the front of your Crosstrek, and the included 7-way to 6-way cord will plug into the 7-way connector of your Sunseeker to power the vehicle lights while being flat towed. The included diodes are great because the protect your factory wiring from damage, and will not interfere with your lights when you are not flat towing.

I noticed you did not mention safety cables, so if you do not already have them I recommend going with the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs # RM-643.

These products paired with the Roadmaster Direct Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-52927-5, Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522, and Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 you were looking at will give you everything you need to complete your flat tow setup.

Lastly you will more than likely need a high-low adapter to level your tow bar to your tow vehicle so I have included a link to a helpful article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.

I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
