Which 5th Wheel Rail Installation Kit For 1998 Chevrolet K2500

Hello. I have the universal in bed rails for a fifth wheel. I’m looking for a frame mount / bracket, to mount them. I have a 1998 Chevrolet k2500 crew cab 4x4 6.5l diesel. If possible can I please get a list of the frame mount options. Thank you for your time.

As long as your 5th wheel rails are 10 bolt industry standard rails you will want to use the Reese Universal Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches (No Base Rails) - 10 Bolt # RP30439 as there is not a custom installation kit available for your 1998 Chevrolet K2500 Crew Cab 4x4 Diesel.

If you do not already have a 5th wheel hitch I recommend taking a look at the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs # RP30047 if your truck has an 8' bed, or the slider version # RP30051 if your truck has the 6-1/2' bed.

You will have to go with a sliding hitch to allow the trailer to make tight turns. For a trailer 8 feet wide the only bed length that's going to allow 90 degree turns without a slider is a stationary hitch. That being said you have two options.…
