Which Hitch Will Fit a 2005 Ford F-150 With the Flare Sides and Short Bed
Question:
2005 ford f150 fx4 short box flare side, I have tried a few different trailer hitches and none will fit, I am told it has a hitch that is not same as other 2005 models

I can confirm that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13352 will fit on your 2005 Ford F-150 with the short bed and Flare-sides. I've added a photo that we have on the product page of this hitch installed on the same truck for you to check out.
If you also need a wiring harness for this truck, I recommend using the Hopkins Plug-N-Tow # 40185, which will plug into the US Car Connector port under the vehicle on the driver's side and allow you to have a 4 way trailer wiring harness for trailer lights.
