Question:
do you have directions on how to install on qx56?

Expert Reply:
On the Infiniti QX56 with the factory 7-way, you would use the brake controller you referenced with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3050-P. This adapter plugs into the 6-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. On some Infiniti vehicles, the connection may be behind the drivers side kick panel.
I have attached a link to the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90150 installation instructions for your Infiniti QX56. It is designed for trailers with up to 3 axles and electric brakes only. It easily transfers between tow vehicles and features 3 boost levels.
If you do not have a factory 7-way or any trailer wiring harness, let me know and I can provide that information to you as well.
I have also provided links to our FAQ pages on trailer brake controller information, brake controller installation, and testing brake controls.
