Which Size Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box For 2019 GMC Acadia

I am looking for a roof cargo carrier for my 2019 GMC Acadia. I like the Thule Motion XT. What is the recommended size carrier for this vehicle? What is your opinion on the Force XT vs the Motion XT?

For your 2019 GMC Acadia you will be able to use the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft # TH629807 or Force XT - 18 cu ft # TH6358B without having any interference.
Regarding the differences between the two, the Motion XT has a Slidelock system which automatically locks the carrier when the lid is closed, and has red indicators that will tell you if the lid is not closed all the way. In addition you gain one extra load strap to secure your cargo inside of the carrier.
The Motion XT and Force XT are very similar, but due to the Slidelock I personally would go with the Motion XT.
If your Acadia does not have the factory crossbars but has the raised factory rails I recommend the Yakima Roof Rack System that uses 50" Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425, and TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y33TR.
