Curt Echo Brake Controller Recommendation for 2016 Jeep Cherokee with Factory Tow Package
Question:
I am in need of a brake controller. My vehicle is 2016 Jeep Trailhawk with factory tow. I can’t decide if I’m sold on Bluetooth as I can’t always get it to come up on my iPhone. I know I don’t want dash mount or anything that attaches to dash. I need easy as I have no clue how to wire something up or adjust. Please help. I’m towing a 17’ casita. I have been towing with the jeep since owning it new and never problems stopping but I’m taking a very long trip out west in the spring for 4 weeks and don’t want to get in trouble. Thank you.

The Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller # C51180 that you mentioned would be the way to go. We've found that it's connection is very solid but it doesn't need to be connected to still function. If for some reason you were to lose connection to it the controller will still function with it's last settings. It doesn't actually get controlled from your phone so much as the phone programs the controller and it runs it's self.
