Question:

Is it possible to have an ebike rack for an RV and also tow a Jeep? If so what are your suggestions for the rack and also the needed double hitch? RV is a class A

For the bike rack, you cannot go wrong with the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2, part # HLY74FR. The rack can handle two bikes weighing up to 80 lbs apiece with tires up to 5 inches wide, so it'll work on standard or fat bikes. The rack includes keyed alike hitch, cable and retaining hook locks for theft deterrence. The rack is designed for use on a motorhome, but SHOULD NOT be used on a towed camper or vehicle.

The Thule # TH92BJ Doubletrack is a great bike rack, but it isn't rated for heavy bikes. The capacity is limited to 2 bikes weighing up to 35 lbs apiece which isn't enough to handle a heavy e bike.

In order to flat tow a vehicle and carry your bikes at the same time, you'll need a dual hitch adapter. The adapter you need will depend on the height difference between the receiver of the motorhome and the height of the base plates on the towed vehicle.

You'll want your tow bar to be within 3 inches plus or minus of level, we offer five different sizes, a 2-1/4 inch rise/drop as part # RM-077-2, a 4 inch rise/drop as part # RM-077-4, a 6 inch rise/drop as part # RM-0077-6, an 8 inch rise/drop as part # RM-077-8, or a 10 inch rise/drop as part # RM-077-10. The adapters work well for flat towing, but shouldn't be used for towing a trailer.

You'd attach your tow bar to the bottom receiver tube and use the top for your bike rack.
