Parts Needed to Complete 2200-lbs Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System for Off Road Trailer

Question:

Can I buy the 2000 lb Timbren Axles for wide tires with hubs and brakes and a 4lift? I did not see that option. Do I need the 4inch lift if I am wanting to put on off-road say 33tires? Fenders are not an issue for me.

I have a solution for you, but the Timbren Axle-less suspension system you're looking for does not exist as a complete kit, so you would need to piece it together. However, you can use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4" Lift Spindle w/Flange - Off-Road Tires - 2.2K # ASR1THDS03 you were looking at in a few different configurations. I don't know that you'll be able to go all the way up to 33"s on this, but you might be able to make it work depending on the overall width of the tire; this setup will give you 8-1/2" from the frame of the trailer to the hub face, so it might require wheels with an offset to go that wide.

If you're going to add brakes to this system then you have a few options depending on the bolt pattern of wheels you want to use; I've listed below the hubs that will fit on the spindles of the Timbren axle-less system:

for 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K
for 5 on 5 bolt pattern # 84556UC3-EZ
for 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern # AKHD-655-35-EZ-K

For all of these hubs mentioned above you'll need a 10" brake assembly; for that I recommend using the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA. These are a self adjusting brake assembly, so once you get them mounted you won't need to do any other maintenance until it's time to change them; these are easy to install and will work with the 4 bolt mounting flange on the Timbren Axle-less system. These brakes don't come with mounting hardware so you'll also need the # BRKH10B.

If you don't already have wheels and tires chosen, the Westlake # LH66FR would be a good option that will work with the # AKHD-655-35-EZ-K and give you a nice, aggressive off-road looking tire and wheel combo. You could also get the tire separately with part # WST54FR and choose whichever wheel you'd like. They're not 33's, but they do have a nice off-road style to them, so I figured I'd mention them. We do not carry an off-road type of trailer tire that large, otherwise.

I've linked our entire selection of tires and wheels that you can have a look through, as well as some links to review and installation videos of these parts.
