Does VueSMART RV and Trailer Backup Camera # HM34FR Require Phone with Data Plan

Question:

Does the Smartphone require carrier Service ? ie Verizon or Sprint? I have a few older Smartphones, Samsung Note 9, that I do not use for phone use, and would work well for this. I love the Camera BTW, and I will be ordering one for my Mission Restore Bronze Indiana Trailer.

You do not need a data plan on your phone to use the VueSMART RV and Trailer Backup Camera # HM34FR.

It creates it's own wifi hotspot that your phone would connect to independently to display the image.
