Recommended Solution for Curt Sliding Hitch with 25,000-lbs Capacity
Question:
Can I up grade this 5th wheel to a larger head and keep the slide rail I would like to go up to 25,000lbs if so can you give a model that will work .

I may have a solution for you, but the sliding base of the # C16521 is not rated for 25000-lbs, so it wouldn't be quite as simple as swapping out the head; additionally, the highest rated slider hitch we have available tops out at 24000-lbs, so you would be limited to that capacity. If you've already got this slider base, you would need to upgrade to one with a higher capacity.
With that said, you might be able to use the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider - Dual Jaw - 24,000 lbs # C16566, which has a 24000-lbs capacity and provides you with basically the same Curt hitch you were looking at with a sliding base. This hitch is designed to fit into industry standard base rails, so if your truck already has a rail kit you should be good to go.
