Electric Winch for Loading Logs Onto Trailer
Question:
I would like to know what you think would be a good winch for a trailer, I would mostly for winching logs from the side of the trailer with ramps and a snatch-block. Thank You

The right winch for you will really depend on the weight capacity you're needing. For instance, the Bulldog Winch # BDW10042 you'd looked at has a 9500 lb capacity, but when a pulley block like # BDW20077 is used, you'll double the pulling capacity of the winch. The Bulldog Winch you'd looked at would actually be a pretty good choice for this application.
I'd imagine the logs you'll be dealing with will weigh quite a bit less than the capacity offered by this winch, but choosing a winch is a situation where overkill is a good thing. Choosing a winch with a capacity higher than what you actually need means that the winch won't need to work so hard and it will therefore last a long longer as it's not being continually pushed to its mechanical limits.
