Video Transcript for Review of Bulldog Winch Snatch Block 16K - BDW20077

Hello, neighbors and friends, welcome back. I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at our Bulldog Winch Pulley Block with a cast iron housing, and a nice red powder coat finish. Now this pulley block is rated for 16,000 pounds working load limit, and has a brake strength of 32,000 pounds. Now the pulley block is a cast iron housing. Very heavy duty.

A nice red powder coat finish on it. It's a forged alloy steel shackle here on the front. And this pin here to get that shackle open, it's a simple fold over design. I'll pop that out. Simply open it up.

It's got a little keeper here that is with it. You fold it up as well. And there's a closeup of that pin. Again, the tip of it here, just simply fold it in the direction. That's how you slide it in, lock it down.

Very simple design. I'll go ahead and put that back in there. See how quick that was. Now again, it's got a machine eight inch diameter wheel inside of here. It's got a greasable bearing.

You can see there's greaser Zerk there on the axle. It's very, very easy to turn that cast iron wheel, kind of spin it there. Very simple to spin. And it's got a little keeper on the back end here to keep the rope wire or the rope in place. So again, this will use a rope or wire rope with up to a five eighth inch diameter thickness. Well folks, that's gonna do it for our look at the Bulldog Winch Pulley Block with the cast iron housing and the red powder coat finish. I'm Steven. Stay safe out there when you're recovering. Have a nice day.

  • Electric Winch for Loading Logs Onto Trailer
The right winch for you will really depend on the weight capacity you're needing. For instance, the Bulldog Winch # BDW10042 you'd looked at has a 9500 lb capacity, but when a pulley block like # BDW20077 is used, you'll double the pulling capacity of the winch. The Bulldog Winch you'd looked at would actually be a pretty good choice for this application. I'd imagine the logs you'll be dealing with will weigh quite a bit less than the capacity offered by this winch, but choosing a winch...
