Comparing Inno and Rhink Rack Roof Rack Systems for 2017 GMC Yukon

Question:

Hi- I am trying to decide between the Rhino rack vortex in black and the Inno aero in black roof rack systems for a 2017 GMC Denali Yukon. I like that the bars on the Inno are 54 vs the Rhino rack at 59. Is there a significant difference in quality or ease of installation between these two racks? Or any other major difference I should be aware of? Thanks

There are a couple of things that set the Rhino Rack system using # RRVA150B-2, # RRRCH4, # RRRCP43-BK apart from the Inno system that uses parts # INXB138-2, # INXS350, # INTR154 you're looking at. I'll start out by saying that when it comes to installation, they will install in basically the same manner on your 2017 GMC Yukon, so there's no real benefit of one over the other.

Comparing the two, I generally think that having the extra few inches of bar space that the Rhino Rack provides is always beneficial if you're planning on carrying more than one item on the roof. This will give you the flexibility to carry a bike rack and a cargo box together, multiple bikes or a large cargo basket without being pressed for space. I'll also add that Rhino Rack is known for their durability, and it's not to say that Inno isn't a quality product but I generally feel that Rhino Rack systems are a bit more sturdy. This is exhibited in the difference in capacities between the two racks; Rhino Rack has a 220lbs capacity and the Inno rack has a 140-lbs capacity; you will want to confirm the roof capacity on your vehicle before maxing out the rack as not all roofs can meet those capacities.

I've linked some review and installation videos you can check out to compare, but I generally recommend the Rhino Rack over the Inno kit in this case, but I can understand why the aesthetics of the Inno kit might be more desirable.
