Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon With Smittybilt Bumper & 10 Inch Rise

Question:

Hoping for advice on how to best flat tow my 2015 jeep unlimited Rubicon. It has a 6 lift and Smittybilt XRC gen 1 front bumper. The hitch on my RV is at 19.5 inches and the D rings on the bumper are at 29.5 inches, so I need to make up 10 inches to get level. What items will I need?

We can get your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with a Smittybilt bumper set up for flat towing, including the correct high-low adapter to make up that large 10" height difference between the D-rings and your hitch. To make it easy, I'll create a list of the parts you'll need for your Jeep.

- Base Plates: 3/4" Shackle Mounts: Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts - 3/4" Thick # RM-035
OR
- 1" Shackle Mounts: Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts - 1" Thick # RM-035-1
- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522
- Safety Chains: Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Wire to 6-Wire Straight Cord # RM-152-98146-7
- Supplemental Braking System: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR
OR
- For a motorhome with air brakes: Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # DM26VR
- Roadmaster High-Low Adapter - 2" Hitches - 10-1/4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-10

You will just need to measure your shackle mounts to determine the correct ones to fit your Jeep, and the 10-1/4" rise provided by the high-low adapter is going to ensure you have a level set-up. The Falcon 2 tow bar is the best choice for your Jeep because it has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing, along with integrated safety cable guides for an easy and clean attachment.

The wiring kit is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep your Jeep's electrical system safe, and both the Stay-IN-Play DUO and Air Force One are strongly recommended because they are one-time installs which will never require any type of removal or reactivation, and give you extremely smooth braking which is good for both your RV and your Jeep's chassis.

I have added links below to some video reviews of these parts for you to take a look at as well.
