Towing a raised 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ with a motor home-mounted tow bar like the RoadMaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar, part # RM-522, which will have an upward or downward slope puts undue strain on the entire towing system.

For that reason, do not tow if the tow bar is not within the Safe Zone. Which means no more than three inches above or below the center of the motor home receiver. Towing a vehicle with a tow bar that is not within the Safe Zone will result in significant wear and tear on the tow bar and brackets, significant wear and tear on the vehicle’s suspension and frame, and the eventual failure of the towing system. I am including a link to the instructions on the # RM-522 tow bar that will describe the Safe Zone on page 2 and I am attaching a picture of the measurements I am describing.

To determine if the tow bar is within the Safe Zone, first, connect the motor home and vehicle on level ground.
Next, measure the distance from the center of the motor home receiver down to the ground. Then, measure the distance from the center of one of the base pins on the Jeep down to the ground. Compare these two measurements. To be within the Safe Zone, they cannot be more than three inches apart if the base pin is above or below the motor home receiver.

I do have some RoadMaster High-Low adapters that can be installed into the motor home receiver and give you the correct rise you will need to tow the raised Jeep correctly. The adapters are designed to be only used with tow bars, not for trailer use. The high-low adapters will come in a range of 2 inch to 10 inch rise or drop. I am including a link to a product page that will show the RoadMaster High-Low adapters available.
