Recommended Weight Distribution System for 2016 Grand Cherokee and 700 lb Tongue Weight Trailer
Question:
Whats a recommended weight distribution hitch for a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I pull a car and trailer with combined weight of about 5500lbs with about 700 lbs of tounge weight a few times a year. Dont want to spend lots of money, prefer weight distribution only dont need sway control. I usually run a 3 or 4 inch on my current weigh safe hitch to level the trailer. Thanks

For your 700 lb tongue weight, the weight distribution system I recommend is the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW - Without Shank # FA94-00-1033. You will also need the 2 inch ball # A-90 or the 2-5/16 inch ball # C40030 ; whichever matches your trailer coupler size. I know you don't need sway control, but this is the best system for your application at the lowest cost, so it simply comes with that benefit.
For a weight distribution shank compatible with your drop and this system I recommend the Curt Welded Weight Distribution Shank 7" - 10 Hole Adjustment # C17123 which will give you adjustability for the perfect ride height with this as well as other trailers.
