Determining if Gray Waste Valve for RV is Slip on or Thread In

Question:

I have a 1999 ISATA DuraMax class C on a Ford 450 frame. Model C-290. My grey water is leaking. I suspect the valve. How do I tell which valve to order screw on or slip on? If it is slip on which I think it is do I cut the pipe further up and add a coupling to glue the new valve in?

You'll have to look at the way the pipe connects to your RV plumbing to determine if the valve slips over the piping or into it or if it screws in. It should be obvious under closer inspection. We have screw in options like the part # T1001D for 1-1/2 inch.

Either way though most likely it will be plastic welded so it would need to be cut off since that can't be undone. When you go to replace you'd need the solvent # A05-0303.
