Adding Trailer Brake Controller to 2002 Toyota Tundra with 7-Way Trailer Plug
Question:
I have a 2002 Toyota tundra that has a 7 pin trailer plug that I would like to wire a brake controller for RV trailer brakes,could you tell me what wireing set up I would need to do this and what brake controller would you recommend.Thanks

Since you already have a 7-way, I recommend checking the 1 o'clock pin for 12v power. If you have the power at that pin, then you can use the Curt Echo # C51180 without adding any other wiring. This will connect to your mobile device to let you adjust the settings and have a manual override. I've linked a video to assist.
If you want the more traditional brake controller, I recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195. Then to give you the wiring and circuit breakers you need I recommend the kit # 5506.
