Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2020 Chevy 3500HD LTZ with OEM Puck System
Question:
I am changing trucks and 5th wheel RV, along with my hitch set up. I am moving to a 2020 Chevrolet 3500 HD LTZ with the OEM puck system. I will be towing a 2021 Vanleigh GBB 5th wheel. I currently have a BandW 20k slider that doesnt fit in the new truck. Since I have to buy a new hitch, Im wondering if I need another slider hitch, or can I use a standard hitch? If so, would you suggest a Curt or BandW? Thanks much for your help. Love your site.

If you have a short bed truck, I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20K # BWRVK3775 because it is in my opinion the best quality hitch as well as designed to fit your factory pucks.
If you have a long bed truck, then I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3710. There are Curt options for this fixed mount and your factory pucks that are good quality, but I prefer the B&W models because they use a stronger metal, have more durability in their design, and are made in the USA.
If you already have the B&W Companion head unit, then you can use the Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC - 20,000 lbs # BWRVB3710 or the Replacement Slider Base for B&W Companion Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - 20,000 lbs # BWRVB3775.
