Comparing the Thule EasyFold XT and Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Racks

Question:

Re: Thule Easy Fold XT I heard that there’s a 53” upgraded ramp? Is this what bikes with the ebike carrier or is this an accessory you have to buy? Also, when we have two bikes in my friend’s Thule Easy Fold, I can only get the bar to grab the post off the bike seat. It’s not large enough to grab around the stem where the battery would have been integrated in the bike. Is there an upgrade you can buy so that I could fit the post where the integrated battery would fit? Which do you recommend, the Thule Easy Fold XT or the Kuat NV 2.0 or something else?

There is a 53 inch upgraded ramp you can purchase separately. It is # TH933402 and will pair up nicely to the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202 and give you a flatter angle to make pushing your bike onto the ramp even easier.

The Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 can accommodate frames up to 3 1/8 inches in diameter, and there is not a replacement part to work with bigger frames. I recommend putting the arm on a smaller part of the frame if the location where your battery would install is too big.

Both the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 and the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22B are top of the line bike racks that both have great features.

If you have tires between 24 - 29 inches the frameless mounting system Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22B will avoid you having to deal with the frame diameter of your bike not working where you want it. If you want to add a ramp to you will need # ANVBRB

If you are comfortable with repositioning where you are clamping your bike I recommend the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 due to it tilting farther away from your vehicle to allow you to access the cargo area easier, and since it has a higher weight capacity of 65lbs per bike and a total weight of only 45 lbs. Compared to the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22B that has a weight capacity of 60lbs per bike and a total weight of 52 lbs.
