2021 Subaru Forester Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System Capacity for my Tent
Question:
Is the listed weight capacity of 165 lbs static or dynamic weight? Im looking for crossbars to hold a roof top tent that weighs 125lbs. I want to be sure the static weight capacity is well over 165 lbs for when Im in the tent. I weigh 150 lbs. So Im looking for about 350+ lbs static weight capacity. Thanks?

The 165 lb. weight capacity of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System using the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars part # RRVA126B-2 and the Rhino-Rack SX Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars part # RRSX100 is rated as a dynamic or moving load. When used stationary or static they will accommodate higher weights. '
When used in this fashion with a roof top tent the vehicles roof is typically going to be the weakest point so check with your manufacturer for the roofs capacity.
