Is Yakima Kayak Carrier Compatible With Fishing Kayak With Scupper Holes

I have a Jackson fishing kayak, sit on top. The kayak has scupper holes to allow water to exit the deck. Is this Yakima combination compatible with my Jackson hull?

Yes, you can use the Yakima Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Saddle Style with Rollers # Y04083-04082 with your Jackson fishing kayak with scupper holes. Those holes will not interfere with the mounting that this carrier provides.

The only thing to keep in mind is that this carrier has an 80 lb weight capacity and quite a few fishing kayaks are heavier than that, including some of the Jackson fishing kayaks I saw.

If it was you'd need a different carrier, the Yakima BigCatch Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Saddle Style # Y04091, which has a 150 lb capacity.
