Needing Bike Rack/Cargo Carrier Combination

Do you stock a cargo carrier basket with receiver extension? The extension would be for a bike carrier.

Expert Reply:
We do offer a cargo carrier that's designed to work with a specific bike rack, both items are from Hollywood Racks. The cargo and bike rack are sold together as part # HR1450Z-85. The bike rack is rated for 2 bikes weighing up to 50 lbs each and the carrier is rated for 100 lbs of cargo if used with the bike rack or 220 lbs if used by itself.
We don't offer any cargo trays with a receiver, because adding a bike rack onto an existing cargo tray would have an unknown capacity. Adding a bike rack to a cargo carrier would place the weight of the bikes pretty far away from the rear of the vehicle, and the resulting leverage applied to the htich would very likely either damage the hitch or the hitch attachment points to the vehicle. So, unless the specific rack and cargo tray mentioned above are used together, we don't offer any other safe options.
