The Kenda Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10501, is constructed with a sidewall of three polyester plies and a tread composed of three polyester plies and two steel plies; these are then encased within two nylon plies, for a total of 7 plies.

Please note that modern trailer tires like this Kenda do not actually have the number of plies that once corresponded to load range. Newer materials and manufacturing techniques enable this tire to carry a load range F rating that once required 12 plies but which now can be equaled with a 7 ply tread and 3 ply sidewall.

I have included a link to an FAQ article on tire types.
