Your 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD is absolutely compatible with the hitch you asked about, the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047.
It will work with your truck, you just need base rails in order to mount the hitch, and you can choose from a universal option or a custom option. I recommend the custom rails and install kit because they won't require drilling into your Chevy's frame, which is not only good for your truck, it also means they will take less time to install. Both of the following rail kits will fit your '03 Silverado 2500:
- Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035
- Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit With Base Rails # RP50064-58
Along with the hitch and rails, the only other thing you may need if you don't have one is a 5th wheel wiring harness for your '03 Silverado 2500. The correct part for that is the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole # PK11893-11932.
