Installation of Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 13149 on 2011 Toyota Rav4 AWD
Question:
We purchased the 13149 hitch for our 2011 AWD Toyota Rav4. My husband and I tried to install it but it just wouldnt fit. Can you explain why?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13149 is a confirmed fit for 2006 to 2018 Toyota RAV4 models with the exception of electric models. Your exhaust will need to be lowered but it should simply bolt into place unless the hitch has been bent or damaged. I've attached the installation instructions and a video to assist.
Because the hitch installs into existing weldnuts in the frame, I recommend using some WD-40 and a nylon brush like # 814092 to clean the threads before installation which can get clogged with dirt and road debris.
